The History of Niigata Shogyo High School

1883 November, The school was founded.
1887 March, The school was officially recognized.
1906 April, The school badge was reformed.The badge is in the shape of two snakes, two wings, and one star. Snakes are believed to be the guardian deities of commerce.
1934 November, A ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding was held.
1944 April, The school was renamed. The name was Niigata Prefectural Second Niigata Industrial School.
1946 February, Fire burned the buildings of the school. Almost all of the buildings are burned down.
1946 April, Co-education took effort.
1963 October, A ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding was held.
1964 June, All of the school building were partially destroyed by the Niigata Earthquake.
1967 October, A ceremony celebrating the restoration of the school building was held.
1973 October, A ceremony celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding was held.
1977 April, Examination for selected candidates started.
1977 April, Computer course started.
1978 April, Course systems were introduced in the commercial course.
1993 September, A ceremony celebrating the 110th anniversary of the founding was held.
1994 April, Accounting course was established.
1996 April, International Cultural course was established.
